Getting from Bali to Nusa Lembongan

Wherever you are traveling from, you will most probably head to Sanur jetty to take your boat to Nusa Lembongan. Sanur is a resort town on the south coast and the main gateway from Bali to Nusa Lembongan and Nusa Penida. Then boats will arrive at Jungkut Batu, one of the two main villages of Nusa Lembongan.

From Bali to Nusa Lembongan by public boat

The boat leaves Sanur at 10:30 am and takes about one hour to 90 minutes to reach Jungkut Batu. The boat also leaves back from Nusa Lembongan daily at 8:00 am. However, like the majority of public boats in Indonesia, the local boats are usually overloaded and meets minimum safety regulations. So, if you’re traveling with children, it is not recommended to take this option.

By Perama boat

The Perama boat is also local, but it is definitely less crowded. The boat departs daily from Sanur at 10:30 am and from Nasa Lembongan at 8:30 am. And it takes approximately 90 minutes. The Sanur office of Perama can be found at Warung Pojok in Jalan Hangtuah. Same day return option is not available.

By public speedboat

To Jungut Batu Bay

The speedboat departs daily at 8:30 am, 9:00 am, 11:00 am, 3:00 pm and 4:30 pm from Sanur beach and the return boat leaves from Jungut Batu at 8:00 am, 10:30 am, and 3.00 pm.

To Mushroom Bay

It leaves from Sanur at 8:00 am, 9:00 am, 11:00 am, 1:00 pm, 2.30 pm, 3:30 pm, 4:30 pm. And the trips back from Mushroom Bay leaves at 7:00 am, 8:00 am, 9:00 am, 11:00 am, 1:00 pm, 2:30 pm, 3:30 pm and 4:30 pm. It is most recommended to book in advance as seats may not be available.

By private fast boats

Leaving from Bali to Nusa Lembongan, passengers have several operators to choose from. The boat trip from Sanur Jetty to Nusa Lembongan by fast boats takes around 30 minutes and generally departs daily in the morning and the afternoon.
