Galungan and Kuningan

After 10 days of Galungan a very special day comes, that day is Kuningan Day which is a holiday celebrated island-wide by many people where they go conduct prayers and display offerings at shrines and temples, but all of that happens before noon. What a wonderful coincidence that the Sakenan’s temple anniversary happens the same day as Kuningan. Sakenan is a temple located in the southern region of Bali in Serangan Island. The Island celebrations once go on with processions leading to the island by wooden traditional boats or on foot. Both of these holidays are a mesmerizing experience.
